I'm IN! I'm neither an educator nor a parent, but have the discussion about college with people all the time, so I'm interested to see Tough's opinion on this.
I'm in. I somehow steered clear of the whole Paul Tough phenomenon, notwithstanding being a teacher during the peak years of Grit's trendiness. Curious to finally get a chance to engage with his ideas.
I’m in and hoping to really do it this month!! I’m an educator (on a break right now) and a parent, and I believe so hard in really changing the structures in schooling to dismantle hierarchies and disrupt inequities. Excited to see what Tough has to say about what’s happening in higher ed!
Hi All! I'm in! I am an Oakland based educator and my job gives me close contact with young people and systems k-12. Through my husband's work, I get a window into the university scene. I am continually fascinated by the systems, heartbroken by misalignments and inequities, and propelled to keep learning more. Excited to nerd out with you all!
i'm summer and i am so very excited for this month's read. i'm passionate about higher education: the beauty of it in how it creates community in some of the most formidable years of my life and the complicated nuances of accessibility weaved in with institutionalized privileges. It keeps me up at night! it follows me everywhere!
I'm in! I'm Michele. I was a teacher for 18 years and now I'm doing other stuff around education and equity. Thank you for another wonderful opportunity to talk about important stuff with other people who want to talk about important stuff! (Last week's in-person conversation at your house was fanTAStic!)
