I saw A Real Pain recently on a plane and found it so moving too! The points about the ways the two cousins remembered their grandmother stuck with me too. I was thinking about a dear friend who passed a while back and how lonely it felt because while she had many friends, each of them had such a different and unique relationship with her. I wished I could’ve shared in the grief more.
I agree! It was so fascinating how they both had different memories that stuck out to them even though they are 1) really close in age 2) both her grandchildren and 3) both grieving her. Such a great film, I’m glad it moved you too! Big hugs to your friend and her loss, I know that’s got to be so tough
