This month’s article is “Baking Bread in Lyon,” by Bill Buford. It was one of my favorite articles of 2020. Even if you don’t like bread (or France), you’ll love this piece.
I’m in! I read a lot of articles every year, and feature 200 in The Highlighter, and “Baking Bread in Lyon” was one of my favorite three articles last year. I’m looking forward to discussing this piece with all of you (and with Mr. Buford!).
I am so IN! My heart skipped a beat when I saw "Bill Buford." I absolutely love the way he writes about food. Such an amazing storyteller who uses food to talk about history, culture, language, and his own journeys of growth. Plus, he is funny! My birthday this past year was completely inspired by Bill Buford's ratatouille article. I am overjoyed!
I'm in! Looking forward to it
