If I’ve ever met an adoptee, they didn’t tell me about it. What worlds we never consider, or even imagine, that people suffer in silence! Every person holds hidden flaws, hurts, pain, and misery, besides the joy they may outwardly express. Compassion is so very needed, especially now when it seems to be missing in public spaces. Psychologists have shown how people who’ve been abused often become abusers; we can readily observe in current events how deep trauma, even in groups, finds its out in causing the same, or worse, to others; just one more reason to follow the only commandment necessary: “do unto others as you would have them do to you.” I hope I keep this article in memory to help me achieve it!
