1619: Our Last Discussion Is This Sunday
We’ll discuss Chapters 16-18, then answer, “What are we going to do now?”
Welcome to Week 28! We’re getting ready for our last discussion coming up this Sunday, August 14, 2:00 - 3:30 pm PT. (For your reference, here’s our schedule.)
Here are two ways to prepare for this Sunday:
Catch up on Chapters 16-18. For each essay, identify one topic, question, or passage you’d like to explore.
Look back over the whole book. What has it meant to you? What are you going to do now?
A word about #2: Our discussion this Sunday will be a little different from our previous six. The flow will remain the same. But toward the end of our small group conversations, we’ll start thinking about actions we want to take, now that we’ve read the book. What are we going to do now? We’ll have time when we reconvene as a whole group to continue thinking about what’s next for us.
If you have any questions about this, or ideas about how we can close this book club experience in a meaningful way, please let me know!
That’s about it for now. I look forward to seeing you this Sunday at 2 pm PT. I’ll be logging on 10 minutes early. All right, let’s head to next steps.
